The crest of the 8 quartered Haldenby coat-of-arms over Francis Haldenby's tomb:
No tinctures (colours). Blazon with tinctures are "a knight's helmet Argent (silver) with a coronet/crown Or (gold), an erect arm with armour Argent (silver) coming out high, hand holding a covered cup/chalice Or (gold)".
Motto: "Thee Divyne Toastee" (THE DIVINE TOAST), the family motto having been banned after the Reformation and a new crest of a black swan granted at York in the 1560s, two quarters then not used on the Haldenby shield, i.e., Ella and Wentworth.
This coat-of-arms with crest on the wall is older than the 8 quartered coat-of-arms on the head-panel of tomb.
