Chest tomb of the Griffiths Family about 20 yards south of the south porch of the Church of St Bartholomew's

Chest tomb. c1840. Ashlar. Greek Revival style. Moulded base, battered
corners, large console brackets supporting ridged capping with modillion
cornice to sides and Greek fret at ends. Central ridged section is raised
above a sloping rectangular plinth and has end pediments. Shaped inscription
panels of varied lettering, paired to the main west and east faces. Commemorates
Richard Griffiths died 183?, Elizabeth Griffiths died 1836, John Griffiths died
1830 and an additional member of family (now illegible) on west face; Elizabeth
Griffiths died 1862, Charles John Griffiths died ?, Julia Griffiths died 1836
and Susan Griffiths died ?, on the east face (Lewis Summers Griffiths died 1849,
and Reverend Henry Griffiths died 1892 on the south face.
