Dovecote. C16, restored late C20. Timber-framed with rendered infill on sandstone rubble plinth and cross-gabled plain tiled roof with gabled lantern. Square plan.

Framing: close-set vertical studding, three rows to tie-beam and two rows in each gable; long straight braces in lower corners. Double doors in north elevation; east elevation has a window with two wood mullions and three iron bars and above it is a blocked opening; also blocked opening in west elevation; small attic lights in each gable with single wooden mullion.

Interior: blue brick floor; about 150 nesting boxes survive on west wall and about 60 on the north wall.

The dovecote was purchased and restored by the National Trust in 1978.
