House. C16 or C17. Timber-frame with rendered infill, machine-tile roofs.
In 2 parts roughly 'T' plan. Left hand part in 2 storeys with one range of
metal C19 casements in roughcast gable end and weathering to first floor
window; timber-frame to left hand return in 2 framed bays irregularly jointed,
3 panels to wall-plate, tension brace to right hand corner, roughly central
wall stack. The right hand part is lower and roughcast finished; one storey
and attic, 3 bays, 2 gabled dormers, 2 windows on ground floor, each with
weathering: the left hand, an early C20 sash and the right, a late C20 casement,
ledged door between the two; large extruded local type chimney with extended
shaft to right hand gable end. Interior: rear half of cross-wing subdivided by
framing longitudinally exactly down the middle on first floor; 2 doorheads,
now blocked, in framing at junction of left hand and centre bays of main
range indicate a probable former cross-passage,
