Farmhouse. C17, with some early C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-frame
with painted brick and rendered infill, partly underbuilt in painted brick,
under a slate roof. T-plan, cross-wing aligned north/south, other range to
west containing axial stack with brick shaft. South front of two storeys
with jettied cross-wing to right which has a 2-light casement over a square
bay window. To left two 2-light casements over a 3-light casement to left
and 2-light casement to right. Entrance to right-hand corner in angle has
a hipped slate roof with trellised side and a ledged and boarded door. To
left-hand end a brick addition with external staircase over a ledged and
boarded door. Framing: four square panels high with straight angle braces
to the gable end. The truss has a king-post.
