Chest tomb. Probably mid-C18. Ashlar. Moulded base and flat capping and
corner rebates which have quadrant balusters with gadrooned bases and foliated
capitals. Side panels have elaborately sculpted borders in high relief, in
form of cartouche to south and with fruit and flower detail to north. At
each end the panels have segmental heads and there is an emblematic device in
high relief to the east and a sunburst relief with putti heads to the west.
Commemorates Richard ? , died 1746.
