Farmhouse and adjoining outbuildings. Late C18 with mid-C19 and mid-C20
alterations. Coursed limestone rubble with plain tiled roofs and brick
left end and central ridge stack. T-plan; main range of three bays aligned
north/south and having a central chimney and lobby entrance; four-bay wing
adjoins north end. Two storeys and attic with dormers. West front elevation:
main part has two ground floor 3-light and two first floor 2-light C19 casements.
There are two gabled dormers with 2-light casements. Central entrance has
a door with six raised and fielded panels. North wing is probably a former
dairy and/or granary. Its west gable end has a 2-light ground floor window
(one light has wood latticing, the other is leaded) and a blind first floor
and attic window. There is a first floor 3-light and 2-light casement and
a door in the angle with the main part. Adjoining the south gable end of the
main part is a two-storey addition with a 2-light casement on both floors and
also a door; the ground floor openings have cambered heads and are enclosed
within a C20 lean-to glazed porch. The rear bay of the north wing is partly
timber-framed with brick infill; there are three rows of panels from sill to
wall-plate and it has collar and tie-beam roof trusses.
