House. Early C17 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Timber-framed
with painted brick and rendered infill; brick replacement walling and plain
tiled roof. Two framed bays aligned east/west; external chimney with tiled
offsets to south side elevation. Single storey and attic with dormers.
Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces across
some lower corners, collar and tie-beam trusses with three struts to collar
and V-strut in apex. West front elevation: west gable end has a plank
weathering at first floor, tie-beam and collar level; 3-light ground floor
casement and attic light. Main entrance in C19 wing to north side elevation;
3-light ground floor casement with cambered head, gabled dormer with 2-light
casement and ledged and battened entrance door with cambered head. Brick
stack at north end of ridge. Interior: north wall-frame noted as being
mainly intact.
