Farmhouse, now offices. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 alterations and additions.
Brick with plain tiled roofs, partly hipped and partly with gable end
parapets; large brick ridge stacks. H-plan. Two storeys, attic with
dormers and cellar; chamfered plinth and two-course band between main
storeys of right wing. East front elevation: central part of two bays;
windows have gauged flat heads; right bay has hipped-roofed full-height
stair wing with a cross-casement and a 2-light casement at landing levels;
left bay has a first floor cross-casement, a gabled dormer with 2-light
casement and a porch with a flat roof behind a parapet; glazed double
doors and a multi-paned fanlight. Left wing gable end windows have
cambered heads; ground and first floor 3-light casement, cross-casement
at attic level; also 3-light casement in angle with central part. Right
wing gable end has a ground and first floor 12-pane sash with gauged flat
heads and moulded architraves. Interior: central part has C18 dog-leg stair-
case with turned balusters and moulded handrail. A C19 hipped-roofed single-
storey canted bay adjoins the left side elevation. The house stands on a
former moated site; the north-east corner of the moat still survives.
