Farmhouse, now house. Early C17 with mid-C19 alterations and additions.
Timber-framed with rendered infill, brick refacing and replacement walling,
plain tiled roofs. T-plan; main part of three framed bays aligned north-
east/south-west; central chimney bay with two diagonal C19 ridge stacks
forms lobby-entrance; also external chimney at north-east gable end; rear
central wing of two framed bays. Two storeys and attic with dormers;
dentilled eaves cornice and pierced scalloped bargeboards. Framing: visible
to rear main part and in rear wing; six panels from sill to wall-plate and
short straight upper corner braces to rear main part; wing has four panels
from sill to wall-plate and the roof has been raised. South-east front
elevation: outer bays have ground and first floor 16-pane sashes with moulded
architraves and cambered heads; large gabled dormers with attic lights;
central first floor cross-casement and central entrance with flat canopy,
pilasters, double doors with upper raised and fielded panels and a traceried
fanlight. Interior not inspected. A large former outbuilding adjoins the
south-west gable end; two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice; three bays;
south-east elevation has a ground floor 3-light and 2-light casement, both
with cambered heads; first floor has two 2-light and a 3-light casement;
ledged and battened door with cambered head to right. There is also a
single-storey and attic addition to the south-west side of the rear central
wing.
