Cottage. C15, altered mid-C19 and mid-C20. Timber-framed, rendered infill,
brick replacement walling, high sandstone rubble plinth, plain tiled roofs,
external brick stacks at end gables, detached stack at left end. Originally
a cruck hall house of three framed bays, two complete cruck-framed bays are
retained and the left bay gable end has been rebuilt in brick; single storey
and attic with dormers. Framing: three square panels from sill to wall-plate.
Front elevation: irregular fenestration; two large C20 casements, three 2-
light casements, two rectangular lights on ground floor, two gabled dormers
with 2-light casements; main entrance through C20 lean-to glazed porch at
right gable end. Left gable end has attic light with cambered head and
also a lean-to extension.
