Cottage. Early C17 with mid-C19 alterations and additions. Timber-framed,
rendered infill, brick replacement walling, plain tiled roof, external
brick chimney at left gable end with offsets and paired square detached
brick shafts with combined cap. Three framed bays; single storey and
attic with dormers. Framing: three square panels from sill to wall-plate,
long straight brace in right lower corner of central front bay, short
straight upper corner braces; collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts
and V-strut in apex at left gable end; right gable end now brick. Front
elevation: three windows; two 2-light casements, a pair of 2-light casements,
two gabled dormers with a 2-light and a 3-light casement and two ledged and
battened doors. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior: intermediate collar-
and-tie-beam trusses with single row of trenched purlins; main beams stop-
chamfered. A single storey extension adjoins to rear right.
