Burlington House, Bedfont.
NOTES OF THE LATE EILEEN STARTIN;-"Around Bedfont's Green there were several fine houses of which only Burlington House survives. This building is also late 18th century and was built for William Reed, replacing an earlier house called "Kitchell Coombes". William Reed at that period also owned the 'Black Dog Inn'. The Reed family owned the house until c. 1925, and were a branch of the family who owned the Reed Company of paper manufacturers. For many years the house has been an old people's home".
