Late C18. 2 storeys and attic. Stucco, 5 windows, double-hung sashes in reveals,
flat arches. Solid central porch with semi-circular archway with cornice moulding,
cornice and blocking course. Doorway with radiating fanlight. Cornice and parapet,
the latter with 'The Northumberland Arms' in early C19 raised stucco lettering. Slate
mansard roof with gable ends and 3 flat topped dormers. 2-storey identical wings at
each end. Each wing has a 1-storey outbuilt stucco ground floor with a central door,
with a narrow sash window on each side. Cornice over blocking course. The 2nd storey,
which is set back, has 1 sash window and a band continues the cills, parapet, hipped
slate roof.
The Northumberland Arms shall be amended to read The Duke of Northumberland
