The description shall be amended to read:
Manor house. Late Medieval, with C16, Cl7 and C18 alterations and additions.
Timber framed, mostly stuccoed to west wing, the rest with brick cladding to
ground floor; two brick early C18 additions to east. Steeply pitched, tiled roofs
to eaves. 2 storeys. Predominantly 'L' shaped plan; west wing late Medieval;
large north-south range C16, the north end jettied on moulded beam; C17 staircase
extension set in re-entrant angle between these ranges, to north-west. Also in
angle, substantial old brick chimney with offsets. C18 sashed windows with
glazing bars, some under cambered arches. Medieval west wing of two bays with
crown post roof, the western bay smoke-blackened above collar level, indicating
probable Medieval hall, open to the roof; inserted floor, with roll moulded beams,
probably contemporary with C16 north-south block. C16 north-south block has queen
strut roof; retains many well preserved original features, including four-centred
arched doorways with decorated spandrels, arched mullioned windows and moulded
beams. Timber framed three-storey stair tower contains circa late C17 turned
baluster staircase. Early C18 south-east block contains panelled room with stone
fireplace to ground floor, heavy cornice and arched recess.

C16 timber framed house with additions. L-shaped with brick-filled close
studding visible on parts of 1st floor; and north end jettied on moulded beam.
Tiled roofs. West wing mostly stuccoed, the rest with brick ground floor.
2 storeys except for 3-storey insertion (probably in C17 for staircase) in
the angle, now covered in modern mock timbering and plaster. Also in angle
a substantial old brick chimney with stepped offsets. On east side 2 projecting
wings of Tudor brick. Windows almost all C18 sashes with glazing bars, some
under cambered arches.
