Mid-late C18 house with alterations. 2 storeys, 3 windows. Brownish
multicoloured stock brick with parapet front. Fairly high pitched hipped
slated roof of square outer appearance but double-span with central
gully. Gauged brick arches to 1st floor replaced sash windows. On
ground floor late C19 canted bay windows. Central prostyle Doric porch
with triglyph frieze and mutule cornice to open pedimented hood. 6-Panel
door under guilloche moulded cornice head and plain fanlight. Sash
windows with glazing bars on returns.
Inside curved staircase with patterned string; 2 round arches in hall,
several original moulded cornices and beaded 6-Panel doors. One late C18
fireplace, complete with grate, and several early Victorian fireplaces.
Basement, of full height at back was originally dairy when the house was a
farm. Old stone sink and remains of bake-oven. 2-bay rear extension.
