Hammersmith Town Hall was designed by E. Berry Webber and constructed 1938- 39. The Town Hall extension in the distance was designed by the Borough Architect's Department and constructed 1971- 75.

The Town Hall is a grade II listed building and is in the 'King Street East' conservation area and Furnival Gardens is in 'The Mall' conservation area.
