Courtyard range of farm buildings, comprising cider house, stables, bankbarn,
linhay, courtyard entrance gates and cart sheds. Early to mid C19. Stone rubble
and rendered cob, with brick dressings. Corrugated iron roofs with gable ends.
3-sided courtyard range with cider house and stables on left (north) side, the bank
barn with shippons below on the long east side, parallel with Collacott Farmhouse,
and linhay with farmyard entrance gate on right (south) side, the attached cart shed
at the rear of the linhay facing outwards. Lofted stable and cider house range has
6 bays of segmental brick arched openings, all infilled, 3 with plank doors. 3 loft
openings above. Bank barn has 9 bays of segmental brick arched openings on
courtyard side, all infilled, 6 with plank doors. First floor access to triple cart
entrances to rear, 2 with double plank doors, the entrance at left (north end)
reduced in width to single plank door. Linhay of 4 bays has timber boarded front
with circular stone rubble and cob piers. Cart shed of 4 bays, open fronted with
timber posts supporting leanto roof.
The farm buildings are sited at the rear of Collacott Farmhouse and enclose a
cobbled courtyard which has a central midden at the north end of which stands the
granary (q.v.).
