Farmhouse. Probably C17 but refenestrated, reroofed and altered internally in C19.
Roughcast rendered stone rubble and cob. Slate roof with gable ends. Half-hipped
slate roof to lofted service end at left end. 2 tall rendered lateral rear stacks
to hall and inner room. Rendered stack at right gable end.
3-room and cross-passage plan with C19 stair projection incorporated in continuous
outshut to rear, and lofted, formerly heated service room at left end. Additional
straight-run staircase beside inner room stack. Of the 2 rooms to the left of the
cross-passage, the inner room is the larger.
2 storeys. 4-window range. C19 fenestration complete with 12-paned hornless sashes
to upper storey. Inner room has tripartite sash of 12 panes flanked by 4-paned
sliding sidelight sashes. 16-paned sash to right to each side of porch with
cambered arched lintel and gabled slate roof. Internal timber window seats to each
side. 6-panelled inner door, the middle panels glazed. Round-arched window to
stair projection at rear with hipped roof.
Interior: Entirely refashioned in early C19, most of the joinery intact. 8 wide-
span C19 pegged trusses.
