Circa 1870, stone. Classical. 3 storeys, attic and dormered roof storey; 7 bays
to Queen Victoria Street; ground floor, shopfronts between pilasters, frieze and
dentil cornice over. 1st and 2nd floors united by rusticated pilaster strips dividing
the Queen Victoria Street elevation in the rhythm 1+2+1+2+1; dentil cornice above
2nd floor. 1st floor windows architraved with cornices. To left and right, triangular
pediments on brackets, centre window with broken segmental pediment containing
City arms. 2nd floor, segmental headed architraved windows with bracketed cils.
3rd floor attic with plain pilaster strips and cornice. Parapet and slated mansard
roof with pedimented dormers. Prominent corner stack. Plainer return elevations.
