GV II

Churchyard monument in the form of a graveboard. C18 inscription
illegible. Weathered oak timbers. A monument consisting of a
long horizontal beam with fragmentary painted inscription,
protected by a weathered capping,tennoned into a decorative
square post at each end, with pegged joints protected by cover
mouldings. Each post is moulded, waisted and cut to a tall
pyramid at the top. Interesting survival of a type of monument
once widely used.
