10/30 Cider House, about 3m west

Cider house. Late C17. Brick-nogged timber frame on stone
plinth, weatherboarded gables, tiled roof. Two bays, single
storey. Framing 2 panels high, long brace from sill to corner
post each corner. Double boarded doors to right of centre.
Internally collar and tie beam truss, angled struts, one pair
purlins. Pivot for spindle of cider mill in underside of tie
beam: circular walk for horse in stone-setted floor. An early
survival of a specialist building type.
