5/116 Two monuments, in the churchyard,
about 6m south of south-west corner
of tower, Church of St. Mary

GV II

Two pedestal tombs. Late C18. Stone. To east, unidentified,
octagonal: moulded stone, possibly base to missing urn,
gadrooning, steep pyramid, step, flat lid, moulded edge. Fluted
frieze, sides slightly raised rectangle with inset segmental head;
moulded base. Three dates between 1791 and 1798: inscription
weathering. To west, unidentified, square. Top as before, swept
stonework below gadrooning, step, flat lid, moulded edge. Fluted
frieze with centre and end paterae; quarter-square elongated
corner balusters, plain ribs, moulded top to plinth.
