House. C17 or earlier, later C20 W wing with entrance. Timber frame on
brick sill, part exposed on E with red brick infill, part brick cased,
part dark weatherboarding. Steep old red tile roof. A long 1 1/2 storeys
house facing W with very large projecting brick chimney at N gable. 2
gabled dormers at eaves on E with 2-light casement windows and small
panes. 3 small windows to ground floor, flush with 2-light casements or
Yorkshire sliding casements. Weatherboarded S end. Lean-to timber framed
tiled projections flank N chimney. l½ storeys W wing has 2 gabled
dormers and 6-panel door under tiled canopy linking it to rectangular
bay window in angle with older wing. Small window and garage door to
right. Formerly The Old Laundry. (Davis (1980) No.26).
