Towpath bridge. Probably early to mid-C19. Spans Wyrley & Essington Canal
(opened 1797) at its junction with Cannock Extension Canal (opened 1863).
Cast iron with brick abutments which have some sandstone dressings. Single
segmental arch. Both side girders cast in one piece, pierced to form lattice-
work pattern of saltire crosses. Girders joined by iron plates to form walkway.
