Methodist church.C1860.Stuccoed brick,now with inappropriate textured coating.Facade a symmetrical composition in a classical style,of two storeys and seven bays.The outer bays project forwards,and the three central bays are set forward slightly under a pediment.The lower storey has Tuscan pilasters and a triglyph frieze.The upper storey has Corinthian pilasters and a balustrade.The outer bays are flanked by paired pilasters.The first floor windows have round heads,and have keystones except for the outer ones.The three central bays on the ground floor have doorways with round heads and keystones.Above the outer bays are domes.Interior:southern part of nave partitioned off and altered late C20.Northern part retains east and west galleries.These are carried on fluted iron columns and have timber fronts panelled above a triglyph frieze.At the north end are three elliptical arches,the middle one wider and containing a raised pulpit,with gallery behind.
