House. C17. Ironstone ashlar, Swithland slate roof, brick ridge and end stacks.
2 storeys and attic; 3-window range. Central bay projects and has windows at
mezzanine levels lighting staircase. Oval panel with side scrolls and crest in
gable. Door to left of central projection. 3-light stone-mullioned windows to
ground and first floors. Moulded string at first floor level and over first
floor windows. Rear to High Street: C20 2-storey central one-window extension
covering original front door- with 4-centred arch head. Interior: complete set of
moulded chamfered beams with stops, moulded chamfered timber lintels to window
openings and to newel post of dog-leg staircase with landings. 4-centred arch
fireplace in ground floor room to right of centre, the jambs of another in room
to left.
