House, Late C17. Coursed squared ironstone, slate roof, brick end stacks on
stone bases. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys and attic; 3-window range, Central 6-panel
part-glazed door in C20 gabled porch. Part-glazed door to left with overlight
and late C18 moulded wood surround and cornice hood. A 2-light cross window to
right with flat-arched head and keyblock. Similar windows to first floor with
C20 aluminium frames, that to left wider with similar cemented head. County Fire
insurance plaque over middle first floor window. Quoins, brick eaves and
stone-coped gables with kneelers. C20 brick kitchen extension to rear. Interior
has complete set of original spine beans, some boxed but where exposed chamfered
with unusual spearhead stops. Open fireplace with bar-stop-chamfered bressumer
and collar-truss roof. Formerly thatched and said to have been public house.
