House. Built 1857 for Mrs. Elizabeth Key and her daughter. White brick, coursed
squared ironstone to left side elevation, plain tile roofs, brick ridge stacks.
2-storey, 3-window range. The centre is recessed between two wide bays and has
Jacobean style shaped gable and part-glazed door in porch with stone coped
gable. Tudor-arched chamfered brick doorway with hood moulds; first floor window
above with Gothick sash window to hood mould. Bays either side have bargeboards
and finials, a canted bay window to left with similar sashes and battlemented
parapet, a timber conservatory of c.l870 to right with pointed arched lights,
spandrels filled with coloured glass and matching bargeboards, and double
Gothick sash windows to first floor left and right with hood moulds. Interior
has staircase hall with staircase at far end lit by tall window with 4-centred
head and coloured glass. Open-well staircase with chamfered stick balusters,
carved tread ends and ramped and wreathed mahogony handrail.
