Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Dated 1692. Ironstone ashlar, old tile roof, brick and and ridge
stacks. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic, 5-window range. Entrance front to yard has
central 6-panelled double-leaf door with moulded stone surround and bond mould
and small horizontal oval window above with raised stone surround and 2-light
ogee-moulded stone mullion windows with moulded sills and hood moulds
throughout. Datestone below central first floor window inscribed I/TE/1692.
Moulded stone plinth, eaves and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Wing to rear
felt of banded ironstone and limestone has similar windows and stone coped rear
gable with kneeler and one ball finial. Similar windows without hood mooulds and
banded stonework to rear. Interior has agee-stop-chartered spine beams,
ogee-stop moulded spine beams, stone flagged floors, open fireplace with
oqee-stop-chamfered bressumer, a balaction moulded stone fireplace in upper
floor and collar truss roof.
