House, formerly farmhouse. Dated 1714. Later C18 and C20 alterations. Coursed
squared ironstone, wood shingle roof, blue brick ridge and end stacks. 4-unit
plan with central staircase. 2 storeys and attic; 4-window range. Central plank
door with moulded wood surround and straight stone hood on timber brackets. C20
canted bay window to right, a 3-light casement window to far right with stone
lintel and keyblock. 2 similar windows to first floor right of centre, with
datestone in between inscribed IR/1714/SR. Left of centre are 3-light casement
windows with timber lintels. A semi-circular tiled projection containing bread
oven between ground floor left windows. Far left ground floor casement window of
2 lights. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams, stop-chamfered rafters and 2
open fireplaces with chamfered bressumers, one with bread oven.
