House. C17. Coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, thatch roof, brick ridge and
end stacks. L-shaped plan. 2 storeys and attic. C20 plank door to right of
centre with 2-light leaded casement window to riht, a 3-light leaded casement
to left, a 2-light C19 window at left end; door and ground floor windows have
timber lintels. One 3-light leaded casement window with some crown glass to
first floor. Quoins, stone coped gable with kneelers to right, hipped to left. A
4-light leaded casement window to first floor of left side elevation and a
2-light leaded casement roof dormer. Said to have been a coaching inn and to
date from 1623.
