Cottage. Dated 1653. Coursed squared limestone banded with ironstone, thatch
roof, brick ridge and end stacks on stone bases. Single storey and attic;
2-window range. 2-unit plan. Small square window with stone sill, jambs and
lintel to centre of ground floor flanked by 2-light casements with timber
lintels. Slightly left of centre of first floor a datestone inscribed 1653 and
C/11 in trefoil ribbon. Blocked eyebrow dormer to left, a 2-light casement with
timber lintel in eyebrow dormer to right. Left side elevation has two 2-light
stone framed windows to ground and first floor, stone mullion only preserved in
first floor left window, rest have C20 timber frames. Entrance to rear. C20
extensions to rear and right side. Interior: moulded die-stop spine beam and 2
open fireplaces, one with chamfered bressumer.
