Cottage. Mid C19, with lean-to addition c.1870. Brick, coursed
and squared ironstone and re-used limestone ashlar, with slate
roofs. 2 brick gable stacks. 2 storeys, 3 bays. South front
has to left lean-to addition with a triple lancet assembled from
C14 fragments, and above it a mask corbel. To its right, a C19
door with a mask corbel above it. Above, a staddle stone and
moulded stone fragments set in the wall. Above again, 2 C19
casements. Re-used moulded stone verge. Beyond, to right, the
house has a large central late C20 flat roofed glazed porch,
flanked to left by a canted bay window and to right by a square
bay window. Above, 3 plain sashes with segmental heads. This
building incorporates moulded stone fragments from Owston Abbey,
which were brought here c.1870.
