Early C18, probably circa 1700. 2 storeys and 2 gabled attic, plum brick,
3 windows. Centre window over door a narrow original fixed light window,
the outer ones sashes, C19, except for 1st floor right which is C18, altered.
Central early C18 6-panel door with radiating heavy wood barred fanlight,
plain reveals, dentilled cornice on shaped brackets. Band between storeys,
and below attics. Gables finished with tiling; old tile roof. Sun fire
insurance mark.
Interior has contemporary staircase with turned balusters. The house was
for a long period the home of the Hatchett family. There are several
monuments to them in the churchyard. RCHM4. NMR.
