Pair of cottages. Early C19. Possibly by or modelled on designs of, Henry
Roberts. Brick with pale headers, Welsh slate roofs. Each of 2 storeys, with
advanced gable onto street and lesser gable recessed at right angles. Each
front gable has 3-light stone mullioned window to ground floor, 2-lights above.
Brick and stone moulded eaves cornice. In the angle of the 2 gables each cottage
has porch with 3-sided roof supported on wood corbels with trefoiled spandrels,
over a doorway with stone lintel. Gable wall of rear gable contains 2 single
lights to ground floor and 2-light wood casement above, with cambered brick
heads. Central stack. Garden wall attached to front gables of cottages, brick
with rounded brick coping, included for group value.
