House and adjoining service wing. Mid C18 and c.1800 with mid
C19 alterations and additions. Brick, partly roughcast and
whitewashed, with slate roofs. Front has rendered plinth and
wood modillioned eaves. 2 gable stacks, that to north external.
2 and 3 storeys, 5 bays. West elevation has to right a
symmetrical 3 bay front with a central reeded doorcase with
pediment and fanlight and a C19 door with the top panels glazed.
On either side, a 3 light C19 casement. Above the door, a 2
light casement flanked by single 3 light casements. All these
have moulded sills and lintels with incised crosses. Above
again, a central 2 light casement flanked by single 3 light
casements. To the left, 2 bay C18 service wing, raised C19, with
brick plinth, first floor band and 2 gable stacks. Central 3
light casement with rubbed brick head, flanked to left by a C20
door and to right by a C20 casement. Above, a blocked central
window and to right, a C19 casement. Rear elevation has to left
a moulded doorcase with a 6 panel C19 door, the top 4 panels
glazed. To the right, the service wing has a central blocked
doorway flanked by single 3 light C19 casements and beyond, to
left, by a C20 casement, all with segmental heads. Above, 2 C19
sashes flanked to left by a single 3 light sliding sash and to
right by 2 similar sliding sashes. Main south gable has a first
floor band and a 3 light C19 casement to left. Above, and above
again, to right, a C19 margin light window. Interior has a 4
flight oak dogleg stair, early C19, with turned balusters and
moulded handrail. Stop chamfered span beam. 2 matching
elliptical headed fitted cupboards, one of them with doors.
