North aspect. The church was rebuilt in 1764 and Gothicized in 1867 by H. Goddard & Son of Leicester. Brick with limestone dressings, Swithland slate roofs with tile cresting. The plinth may be the relic of a Mediaeval building. The west tower is entirely of 1867, with clasping buttresses and the entrance door in its north wall. Saddleback roof of Welsh slate with ridge cresting. (Photo May 2008).
