Nave looking west. The tower sits within the western bay of the nave, an almost self-supporting timbered structure : thick squared corner posts have braces to tie beams and struts which tie into the outer stone walls, in a construction method not typical of Leicestershire. Common rafter roof lavishly timbered with sweeping curved braces. Principal rafter or truss only marks division with chancel, Queenpost construction with raking struts springing from corbels. Heavily varnished pitchpine Victorian pews and other fittings. (Photo Jun 2010).
