Stable block at Lyndon Hall

Uploader's Comments

Built mid C19 of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble with Collyweston slate roofs. The entrance is a central, rounded, carriageway arch with bulls eye window in gable over. On the roof above this stands an ashlar belfry tower in Flemish baroque style with rusticated quoins, dentilled cornice and clock face above with volutes either side. Over this an octagonal lantern with open keyed arches, cornice on moulded brackets above this, and an ogee roof with circular lucarnes. (Photo Apr 2008).
