II
House, formerly several cottages, C17. Coursed rubble with stone tiled
roof. 2 storeys, L-plan. Long range of 2 different builds, with a single
bay to left of squared rubble, and 2 further bays with same rough quoining.
Likewise, the wing is also of different build, and probably of later date.
Squared ironstone rubble. Doorway in angle of the 2 ranges, and various
stone mullioned windows with hoodmoulds, including a canted bay window,which
though old, are not original to this house. Inside one room has fine
panelling taken from Loddington Hall. Axial and gable end brick stacks
to left of main range.
