Framework knitting museum, formerly a master hosiers house and shop in two cottages. Late C17, raised late C18, and with mid C19 rear extensions. Red brick with dark chequering to ground floor and diaper work at first floor. Granite plinth and Swithland slate roof. 3 storeys, each cottage a single unit. No. 44 has mid C19 shop front. Cruck exposed in gable end. (Photo Mar 2008).
