C18. Pair of rusticated ashlar gatepiers, the caps ornamented with skulls and crossbones and with iron lampholders above. Double iron gates and remains of overthrow. The flanking pedestrian gateways joined to the piers have round arches and plain piers. (Photo Aug 2008).
