Terrace of 7 houses.
Built between 1836 and 1846. Stucco with slate roof. 2
storeys with basement, 2 bays to each house. Symmetrical
composition in which end 2 houses project, central 2 houses
break forward under pediment. Basement lintel band, 1st
floor lintel band and top cornice, the ends with parapets.
Recessed bays have channelled rustication to ground floor.
Windows are sashed with glazing bars, those to projecting
bays have shouldered architraves. Entrances have flat
architraves and cornices, overlights and 4-panel doors, all
except those to Nos. 16 and 30 are paired. Pediment has
tympanum painted with arabesques; painted plaque underneath
reads: "SANDOWN TERRACE/RESIDENTS ASSOCIATION/1984".
