School. Largely by Henry Clutton, 1856, and later. Part of
interest is of 1877. Red brick with terracotta dressings,
slate roof. 2 storeys and attic, 9 bays, in a free Chateau
style. Main facade divided up by butresses; Ground floor
tripartite windows. 1st floor windows of 3 segmental-headed
lights. Entrance has open porch with segmental arch dying
into flanking buttresses. Corbelled weathering carries
balustrade round the tops fo the buttresse. Dormers of 2
segmental-head lights with gables flanked by pinnacles, 2
clustered round stacks. Area railings.
