House, probably early C18th. Brick with scored render and with corrugated
iron roof replacing thatch, the 2 right-hand bays being slated. 2 storeys.
Main house of 5.bays. Windows modern with plain reveals, those on the 1st
floor being under the eaves. The 4th bay, with a door to its right, is a
later addition of little architectural interest set back from the main
facade and belongs to Carr Cottage. The 3rd bay is shared between
farmhouse (ground floor) and cottage (1st floor). The farmhouse doorway is
between bays one and 2, under a single-storey gabled porch. Chimneys on
end walls of main house and to right of door. Inside, the 2 main rooms of
the farmhouse each have 2 chamfered axial main ceiling joists.
