Farmhouse, C17 (said to have datestone c.1628, now concealed). Rendered
brick on low stone base, slate roof with red ridging tiles; some stone
quoins. Linear plan of 2½ bays (that at left end shorter), entry at left
end. Two storeys with outshut to rear of left half. Single-storey
pitched-roof porch at left side; 3 casement windows to each floor of front,
one small sliding sash window at 1st floor of left gable. Rear wall has
one sliding sash window to each floor, a modern door replacing window to
3rd bay. Stone quoins visible at 2 corners. One ridge chimney stack near
left end, and a chimney to left side of outshut. Interior: middle bay has
inglenook fireplace with ovolo moulded bressummer and salt cupboard with
incised diamond pattern and central letter "T", 2 bridging beams (one
boxed, the other incorporated in partition to rear passage), and a former
door to service room now blocked and concealed. Purlin roof with clay
floor, blocked 3-light brick mullion windows in both gables.
