Pair of cottages, with a 3rd added at rear, late C18; front pair now
derelict. Watershot coursed sandstone, stone slate roof with gable
chimneys. Two bays. Three storeys, symmetrical; in centre a lean-to
porch with coupled doorways, and on each floor 2 stepped triple-light
windows. Side walls have 2-light flush-mullion windows. Interior:
each has 2 rooms at ground floor only, with stone quarter-turn stairs in
the rear inner corner leading to 1st floor which has party wall of brick;
at 2nd floor the party wall is only boarded and has a connecting doorway.
No. 9 to rear has openings to the left half only: a door and one window at
ground floor, one window above; right half is blind and appears older.
