Farmhouse, C17, altered and extended at right end to Meet Knuzden Hall (q.v.)
now unoccupied. Sandstone rubble with quoins, stone slate roof with gable
copings and kneelers at left, 3 brick chimneys. L-shaped plan, 3 bays with
later rear wing to 1st bay. Two storeys, symmetrical in form but not in
detail: in centre a high single storey gabled porch (ridge at eaves level),
with stone gable coping, boarded door in segmental-headed opening, and inner
doorway which has chamfered surround; very irregular fenestration, mostly
altered, includes left of porch a 6-light double-chamfered stone mullion
window with inserted king mullion. Rear has a blocked chamfered doorway,
a C19 doorway, and remains of a double chamfered stone mullion window now
part covered by rear of Hall. (Ainsworth Homesteads pp.279-284).
