House, 1688, altered. Slobbered sandstone rubble with stone slate roof.
2 storeys. The front (south) wall has sashed windows with plain stone
surrounds. Between the 2 chimney stacks there are 3 on the 1st floor and 2
on the ground floor. To the right of the right-hand stack is a window on
each floor. To their left is a door with plain stone surround, with a shaped
lintel 'GC AC 1688' re-set over it. At the far right is a modern garage
entrance. The rear wall, between the 2 chimneys, has 2 one-light chamfered
blocked windows, one at the left and one towards the centre, the latter with
a segmental head. Between them is a tall C18th 3-light window with square
mullions. At the right is a 3-light rebated and chamfered mullioned window.
On the 1st floor are 2 window with plain stone surrounds, the left-hand one
being fixed with glazing bars, the right-hand one sashed. At the far left
the building is wider, with a 6-pane sash with plain reveals on the ground
floor and an outshut further left. Inside there are 2 chamfered ceiling
beams.
